Introducing Benromach Contrasts Triple Distilled. This quality whisky was distilled three times before being matured in 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels for 10 years. The triple distillation has produced a lighter more elegant spirit. The resulting whisky is a delight brimming with tropical and orchard fruit flavours and hints of soft smoke.

Benromach is a traditional Speyside distillery that was established in 1898. The distillery has had numerous owners over time plus two periods where it was mothballed completely. It was purchased in 1993 by Gordon & McPhail the famous maturation and bottling specialists. Production started in 1998 and the first whisky was released in 2004 called ‘Benromach Traditional’. The owners ambition was to bring back the lost taste of Speyside whisky before commercial malting’s started. Back then distilleries malted barley using peat for the fires which gave the barley a hint of smoke. The core range of 10,15, 21yo and Cask Strength Vintage 2012 all possess a slight smokiness. The single malts are traditionally handmade and matured in first-fill casks. The distillery has released special editions in a Contrast Range consisting of Organic, Peat Smoke, Triple Distilled and Cara Gold. Benromach has an astonishing 87 awards for its whiskies since 2015.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Vibrant tropical fruits, leading to malt biscuit, rich vanilla pod and toasted oak.
Palate: Ripe banana flavours combine with poached pear. Green apple develops alongside sweet honey.
Finish: Medium-bodied and long with citrus zest and a hint of soft smoke.
