Chivas Regal Whisky

Chivas Regal is a hugely popular and famous blended Scotch with the youngest component being at least 12 years of age. There are many different malt and grain whiskies that make up the blend. 
The story of how this great whisky came into being dates back to 1838 when James Chivas an ambitious farmers son moved to work in Aberdeen in a grocers there. Armed with a great work ethic he soon carved out a career for himself becoming a partner of the company a couple of years later. Then in 1857 he teamed up with his brother John Chivas to work in the emporium giving birth to the Chivas Brothers Company. The brothers worked tirelessly to meet customer demand and when these customers asked for a smoother taste and that’s when the blending began. The blends were from quality aged stocks in their cellar. Today Chivas Regal is one of the top selling Scotch whiskies on a global scale. Whisky from Strathisla distillery makes up the main part of the blend and is it this distillery that is considered the home of Chivas Regal.
