Glenkinchie Whisky

Glenkinchie is a picturesque Scottish Lowland distillery located in East Lothian. Founded in 1825 by John & George Rate the buildings were converted into a sawmill in 1853. It wasn’t until later in the century that Glenkinchie was working as a distillery again. Current owners Diageo have created a world class visitor centre where no expense has been spared to create a great guest experience. With Edinburgh close by the location is perfect to take advantage of the many visitors passing through each year. The distillery has two stills and interestingly the wash still has the largest capacity in Scotland. 

Glenkinchie is one of Diageo’s Four Corners of Scotland distilleries and is the Lowland home of the famous Jonnie Walker blended malt. Within the core range you can find the 12 year old and a Distiller’s Edition. There is also a 16 year old distillery exclusive. The character of the whisky is elegant, floral, grassy and light.
