Kingsbarns Whisky

The Kingsbarns distillery is in the Lowlands whisky region and is owned by the Wemyss family. Located in Fife near the town of St Andrews the owners use on site water, barley from near by farms and mature their casks locally too. 

In 2011 planning permission was secured to re-build an old 18th century farm. Created in its place was a contemporary distillery that produces both single malt whisky and Scottish gin. The distillery was opened in 2014 and the first casks were filled a year later. After three years of maturation a limited number of the first Kingsbarns single malt were released in 2018 to it’s Founder’s Club. There is now a core range and an exciting single cask whisky offering available. Kingsbarns has won numerous awards including Category Winner at the World Whiskies Awards 2021 closely followed by Best Scotch Lowland Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2022.
