Loch Lomond Whisky
Loch Lomond distillery is located in the Western Highlands region and is owned by Loch Lomond Group {Hillhouse Capital Management}. Built in 1965 by Littlemill Distillery Company production started a year later. The name Loch Lomond is of course instantly recognised both nationally and internationally as being quintessentially Scottish and the brand benefits from that recognition. Loch Lomond Single Malt Scotch Whisky is extremely popular. It continues to attract new fans and over the past few year, sales have increased in an impressive way. The manufacturing equipment used at the distillery is unconventional in that there are many stills of four different kinds allowing a diverse range of single malt whiskies to be produced.
In 2020 the core range was recreated and enlarged. There is the Loch Lomond Classic, Original,10,12,14,18,21 and 30 year old. Plus there is also the Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 12 year old and the Loch Lomond Inchmoan 12 year old. The distillery is closely connected with the Open Golf Tournament and limited releases emerge annually. Four grain whiskies have also been recently released to add to the large core range.
