Speyburn Whisky

Speyburn distillery in Rothes, Morayshire was founded in 1897 by John Hopkins & Co. The famous architect Charles C. Doig was commissioned to design the buildings to nestle into the surrounding area. It was decided the distillery should be built over three floors to lay within the sloping valley landscape. 

The distillery underwent a great expansion in 2014. Speyburn now has an impressive four wooden and fifteen stainless steel washbacks. There’s one sizeable wash still and two spirit stills and the total capacity is now 4.5 millions litres of alcohol. 

The now retired distillery manager Bobby Anderson spent over twenty years at Speyburn playing a key role alongside his team and others to really further the brand. Speyburn is shipped worldwide and is a great seller in the USA. 

In the core range there’s the 10, 15, 18 year old and Bradan Orach none aged statement whiskies which have all won numerous prestigious awards. Speyburn is a truly exceptional Speyside single malt whisky.
